Absolutely adorable little board book! I got the other version for my 3 year old daughter last Christmas. But it really is too much for a small child. When my sister gifted this one, it was perfect! So perfect that I bought another one to frame pages for my daughter’s room! I thought this was a wonderful way to surround her with art and expose her to black history and role models who can inspire her to “dream big”!!

I love love love this book for my daughter. This author should be honored for such a great and informed book for children. So positive that it should be used for black history month at every school in my opinion. Highly recommended!

I can't wait to give this book to my 6yo niece! It's important to me that my niece learns both reading and about black women who have made history at the same time. The book is both adorable and easy for younger kids to read and learn from.
