I enjoyed the first book so much that I immediately bought the next one. In Shadow Wolf, Mai and her sister Kira have moved in with Gunner and his pack, who have sworn to protect them. Despite the improvement in their living conditions, Kira's health is slowly fading due to circumstances which occurred at the end of the last book. Mai is determined to protect her sister, but to do so, she must determine the identity of the Master who has her mother’s star ball. Meanwhile, Mai’s still dealing with social services and their attempts to remove Kira from Mai’s guardianship.I liked this book, in fact I enjoyed it enough to buy and immediately start the third book. However, I must admit that at times, Mai’s choices drove me crazy, specifically those around how she acted and what she tells Gunner. I realize she's been told that werewolves are the enemy all her life, but he's done nothing but protect her and prove he's worthy of her trust. I'm hoping she finally gets it through her thick skull in the third book.

The stakes have gotten higher as Mai races to figure out how to save Kira. As betrayals and lies come to light, And with Mai hot on the heels of The Master, the battle is finally coming to a head. And the twist of all twists will leave you shocked when it's revealed who The Master really is. This was a great sequel that left me wanting more, as all great books do. I highly recommend this series, and can't wait for the last book!

Shadow Wolf is taut and awesome all the way through. Unexpected betrayal, hidden danger, violence and mayhem, all while dealing with social services and a potential forever separation.... long sentence! Great follow up to book 1; onto book 3! Note: there is a considerable amount of gore in this book, so I recommend it for readers 16 & over.

I have to give 5 stars for "Shadow Wolf." Aimee Easterling has outdone herself yet again! I eagerly await her next book.This series has a different spin to her other were wolf series. This time two vulpines join in. You've got to love these characters! I couldn't put it down.

As always Aimee doesn’t disappoint, story if full of suspense and action! I love the strong female lead in her books!

Great story line and well written fleshed out characters, I like her addressing inter-species and getting along whether you agree or not!

Although not a fan of romance, the romance in this book is mild enough that it doesn't impact my enjoyment of the great action in the book and the imagination of the writer.

Still love all this author has written. I will be looking forward to the next book in this series! No Smut but a strong love interest. Just Perfect!
